Sheet Cake Gallery opened in Memphis' Edge District in December 2023. Owner Lauren Kennedy shares her story and her vision for the contemporary art gallery focusing on artists based in and connected to the regional South.

MMDC helped bring Lauren's idea to reality at each step along the way, from site identification, one-on-one businesses consulting and technical support, an Improvement Grant, and an Event Grant for the grand opening.
