To support the continued growth of our communities, MMDC provides financial assistance to qualifying residents, businesses, and property owners in the Medical District.

PRE-DEVELOPMENT GRANTS
Who’s it For?
Real estate developers, Medical District property owners, small businesses, and community organizations
Amount:
Up to $5,000
Support for:‍
  • Architectural Drawings
  • Financial Modeling and Feasibility
  • Design Support and Site Planning

Who’s it For?
Property owners and commercial tenants
Amount:
Up to $15,000 total per property address ($7,500 for property owner and commercial tenant)
Support for:‍
  • ‍Façade improvements
  • Signage
  • Lighting
  • Sidewalk repair
  • Tenant buildout
  • Public art
  • And more

Individuals, associations, businesses, and organizations
Amount:
Up to $1,000

LIVE LOCAL
Who’s it For?
Qualifying employees of participating Medical District institutions (ALSAC or Southern College of Optometry)
Amount:
Between $500 - $2,000 for properties within the primary and secondary Live Local boundaries
Support for:‍
  • Rental assistance for new and renewal leases within the primary and secondary Live Local boundaries *Assistance and qualifications are up to the discretion of participating institutions

Who’s it For?
Residents, business owners, and community organizations looking to create a more pedestrian friendly environment
Amount:
Up to $5,000 for tactical interventions.
Support for:‍
  • Pedestrian safety and walkability improvements, sidewalk repair
