The Memphis Medical District Collaborative (MMDC), in partnership with renowned contractor Andre Jones and Pathway Lending, is proud to announce the launch of Mind Your Development - License to Build, a new program designed to empower Memphis's next generation of entrepreneurs in the construction and skilled trades.
This hands-on, eight-week cohort is a direct investment in the people who will quite literally build the future of our city.
The program taps into the real-world expertise of Andre Jones, the visionary behind the transformative Malone Park Commons development. Jones will lead the cohort, sharing the invaluable, practical knowledge needed to successfully launch and grow a business from the ground up.
"This is more than just a training program; it's a launchpad for local talent," said Jay Webb, Senior Real Estate Coordinator at MMDC. "We're giving aspiring business owners the tools to not only succeed but to also contribute directly to the economic vitality and physical landscape of Memphis."
Pathway Lending, a leader in business education and financial resources, brings its proven track record to the Bluff City, ensuring participants have access to crucial funding and guidance. This will be its first session based in Memphis.
The inaugural cohort kicks off on Tuesday, September 30, and will run every Tuesday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the MMDC office, concluding on November 18. Ten business professionals will learn and grow in an intimate and focused environment, allowing for personalized mentorship and strong peer connections.
This is a unique opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to learn from a local icon and get their "license to build."
