This new space marks a huge step forward for the organization, which uses the power of rugby to help young people in Memphis succeed. The project is being handled by Linkous Construction.

The celebration kicked off with a performance from the Craigmont High School Band. Their music set the stage for the speakers, including Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris, who talked about the importance of investing in programs that help kids grow. The ceremony also brought together both current and former Memphis-Shelby County Schools leaders, showing how much the community supports MICR.

After the speeches, the coaches, players, and leaders picked up their shovels and officially broke ground on the new complex. This facility will give MICR a permanent home, providing a dedicated space for its programs and a hub for mentorship, education, and sports.
